MSIF MCDONALD FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

The McDonald Fellowship permits new scientists from low and middle-class countries to work in an exploration association outside of their own country.

Following the honor, they expect candidates will have the option to utilize the recently created mastery and systems, proceeding to attempt MS research including patient supervision in low-and middle-class nations.

QUALIFICATION FOR MSIF MCDONALD FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

Every applicant must:

  • Have a minimum of a post-graduate educational level (a minimum of MSc, if feasible Ph. D./MD) in a field related to multiple sclerosis.
  • Be citizens of a low and middle-class country (all countries having a low, lower-middle, or upper-middle incomes as portrayed by the World Bank).
  • Focus their exploration in a region critical to MS.

MSIF MCDONALD FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM ADVANTAGES

The fellowship package consists of a two-year bursary, about £30,000 GBP every year, to supply travel and living costs, and an additional donation of £2,000 GBP  every year to the host school. They necessitate that a bit of the second-year grant to the host establishment will be utilized to give the candidate’s expenses to go to the yearly congress of ECTRIMS, the European Committee for Treatment and Research in MS.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE FOR MSIF MCDONALD FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

  • Complete all portions of the online application form.
  • The Host is mandated to provide an assisting affirmation at the close of the application.
  • Give names and contact data of 3 referees, including the competitor’s current director or boss.

This is a joint application from the applicant and host. Preceding selection, candidates are supposed to have distinguished a relevant project and host administrator at an establishment outside their country.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION

The application closing date, with the application form, reference letters, and assisting statement from the host, is 30 June 2020. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have reached a consensus to prolong the closing date for the 2020 Research Awards round from June 30 to August 31. This involves both Du Pré and McDonald Scholarship Awards.
